Tubing Welding Machine
The TBW-500 QX Tubing Welding Machine is a compact, bench top system that is easy to use and cost effective for welding a wide range of tubing sizes and materials. It is designed to weld similar polymer components such as inner lumen to distal shaft or balloon distal and proximal necks to the catheter shaft. The TBW-500 QX provides a strong weld with a low profile and is easy to use while producing optimal results, such as speed, accuracy and performance.

- The new vision system display contains a complete Windows 7™ operating system and supports high resolution settings to produce detailed viewing of each individual weld.
- The display is a touch screen system. Objects can be selected and adjusted by touch and drag.
- Vision system crosshairs allow operators to develop exact positioning prior to tube welding improving production results. The crosshair function works by simply touching the desired selection and the drop down box indicates the status of that selection.
- Welding jaw temperature setting feature will only initiate welds when the jaws are heated within 5º F of the set point, this along with the thermocouple burnout and wire disconnect detection feature improves production yields
- The TBW-500 QX now also offers a quick exchange welding jaw for simplified setup and change out of jaws for multiple welding operations.
Description
The TBW-500 QX programmable touch screen configures jaw set point temperature, dwell time, air cool time, and single or double weld. It is programmable in either Fahrenheit or Celsius and provides a user configurable lockout password. The catheter is placed in one of the welding jaw grooves after setting program parameters. Activate a heat shield to close around the catheter through the touch screen, foot pedal or press button start. The hot weld jaws grip the tubing and heat it to its fusing temperature resulting in a strong homogeneous weld joint.
