The PTCA Catheter Tipping Attachment, P/N 720005, is one of several modular accessories used with Interface Associates' Hot Air System, Model HB-700.
The Tipping Attachment consists of two modules; the Timer Controller (724003) and a Catheter Positioning Module (720005). They easily attach to the base plate of the Hot Air System by two screws. The Pneumatic Positioning Module places the catheter tip precisely in front of a miniature hot air jet while spinning it around at a uniform speed. An electronic timer controls the duration of heating time with 0.1 second accuracy. Loading the catheter and centering it in the fixture is very easy, and takes only seconds.
